Majolica International Society Convention 2016
Baltimore
Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel
August 25-28, 2016
Plan to set sail to one of America’s most historic cities for the next Majolica International Society Convention in the late summer of 2016. The planning for our convention is already underway, and we’re excited to let you know that our convention is being coordinated to take place at the same time as one of the most prestigious antique events in the country—the Baltimore Summer Antique Show. In addition to this premiere event, MIS convention attendees will also be able to enjoy:
- Fabulous home visits of area majolica collectors
- Visit the Walters Art Museum—“A World Class Museum”
- Keynote presentation by Ulysses Grant Dietz, Chief Curator and Curator of Decorative Arts, Newark Museum
- Member presentations
- “Majolica Heaven” – the ultimate majolica sale with offerings from the finest American and International Majolica dealers
MIS Convention attendees can also take advantage of Baltimore’s rich cultural history by visiting the historic ships in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, planning an afternoon in Fell’s Point, the charming national historic district dating back to the 18th century, and touring the Fort McHenry National Monument—the historic fort that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the U.S. national anthem.
We know, we know—so much to do—so little time! So, plan to come a few days early to take advantage of all this charming city and the MIS Convention have to offer! Oh, by the way, did we mention Baltimore crab cakes?
