Our partnership with the International Antiques Fair, Chicago was great for all of us! More antiques and more fun! |
One of the highest of all the highlights of the 2013 Convention was the Majolica Forum that MIS had the opportunity to create. It was hugely attended (a absolute packed house, of members and Fair goers). Joan Graham and our favorite dealers all spoke on “Incorporating Majolica into Interior Designs”, and highlighted some of their most unique pieces.

“Pocket Album Presentations” were initiated at Convention 2013. Click open this great member collection and display of majolica Owls. There are some hard to find shapes on the shelves including a very “Wise” oil lamp.
This new presentation format conveniently allowed members to send in a few key photos of some unique aspect of their collection and then share with the full convention. We had a total of 7 slick and easy member presentations in this format! How sweet it was!!!!!

Our Saturday Gala Dinner Banquet found us entertained by our keynote speaker, Stuart Slavid, from Skinner Auction House, Boston, MA. His tales of collecting and collectors had us laughing all evening!
