J. Roth
Joseph Roth of London registered a small number of majolica designs from the years 1879 to 1881. Little else is known about his majolica production or facilities. Recognized pieces of Roth majolica bear the mark ‘J.R.L.’ and include a teapot with a monkey straddling a coconut and a bird’s nest wall pocket. A cheesekeeper and a sardine box bearing Roth marks are also known to have been later produced by Thomas Forester who likely purchased the molds.
